When asked to fill a vacated seat, I wanted to see what city government was about. I was surprised to find that there is a lot of time invested and important decisions that go into being part of public office.
I am a native of Greenwood and am very proud of our friendly, safe, and beautiful community. Because this has always been my home, I enjoy being part of keeping Greenwood grounded and prosperous for our current and future citizens.
I was asked by a friend to run for city council. I wanted to make a difference in the community, add more transparency to city government, provide better parks and safer places for our kids to play, and continue to keep our city a safe place to live.
Although I’m originally from neighboring Loyal, I have lived in Greenwood for more than 20 years. I think we have a beautiful city filled with and surrounded by a lot of good people, and I want to do my best to keep it the gem that it is today. In order to do that, we continue to focus on showcasing our city, trying to attract new business, and attempting to keep things affordable for residents and businesses.
